Scope and Contact
Last updated: July 22, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Human Voice Over ("HVO," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit humanvoiceover.com, use our public information or calculator pages, complete onboarding, access the HVO creator portal, or work with us on a dubbing and localization project.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to team@humanvoiceover.com or Human Voice Over, 1460 Drumgoole Road West, Staten Island, NY 10312.
Information You Provide
We collect information you choose to give us, including your name, work email, company and billing details, messages, project instructions, and account information.
Our onboarding form also asks for channel details, selected languages, authorized signer information, invoice contacts, portal-access contacts, optional legal viewers, and speaker reference details such as name, age, gender, notes, reference clips, and images. Please provide another person's information only when you are authorized to do so.
During production, you may provide videos, scripts, audio, artwork, channel assets, approvals, feedback, and other materials needed to produce and deliver localized content.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the website or portal, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps, referring pages, session identifiers, and diagnostic or security logs.
If you use the dubbing calculator, we process the YouTube channel URL you submit and public channel information needed to prepare the estimate, such as public video titles, publish dates, durations, and channel activity. The calculator does not require access to your private YouTube account.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; prepare estimates and project plans; complete onboarding; create and administer portal access; translate, cast, record, review, and deliver localized content; manage approvals, invoices, and payments; communicate about projects; protect our systems; troubleshoot issues; improve our services; and comply with legal obligations.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual to understand service performance and improve our workflows.
Production Content and Voice References
Project files and speaker references are used to evaluate, produce, quality-check, and deliver the dubbing or localization work you request. We may make those materials available to the HVO team and production partners working on that project.
Do not upload confidential, sensitive, or third-party material unless it is necessary for the project and you have authority to provide it. Any separate services agreement or confidentiality agreement may provide additional protections and will control if it conflicts with this policy.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain project and business records, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the security of our systems. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use a unique password for your portal account and notify us promptly if you believe your account or project information has been compromised.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe method in the message. Operational messages about an active account, estimate, onboarding, invoice, or project may still be sent when needed to provide the service.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request, and some information may be retained where permitted or required by law. To make a request, email team@humanvoiceover.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children's Privacy
HVO is a business service for creators and companies and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 through the website or portal. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address it.
International Processing
HVO works with clients and production partners around the world. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, portal, or email when appropriate.
